The heart-warming tale of a young female farmer, Charlie (Geraldine Bakewell) and her imaginary friend, Hugo (Michael Whalley). Hugo's been by Charlie's side for twenty years and counting. Now, as he watches her fall for another man--a real man--it dawns on him: he is in love with her. As Hugo sets about trying to win her for himself, it becomes obvious he cannot compete in the real world and he decides that the only way to win Charlie back is to become real himself.
