Book Clubs at Bayside Libraries
Bayside Libraries are committed to providing multiple book discussion opportunities to our community. Book clubs introduce readers to books they might not otherwise read. Through reflection and discussion, book clubs give readers a deeper meaning to what they read. Most of all, book clubs bring people together to celebrate reading!
Bayside Libraries offer four types of Book Discussion opportunities.

Book Chats
Come along for an informal chat about the book/s you are reading each month.
No prescribed reading, just an opportunity to talk about books with our friendly librarian and other members of our Bayside Library community.
DIY Book Club
If you run your own book club, Bayside Library can support you by:
- Access to our book club kits (12 copies of the same title) and discussion notes
- Fact sheets to help you get your book club started and organised
- To access our DIY Book Club collection, you must first be registered. The annual registration fee is $156.
- To enquire about the DIY Book Club program, please contact us. Any member of our Libraries can register their Book Club.
- Registered members are responsible for the prompt return of the kits.
Online Book Clubs
Bayside Library members have access to online book clubs too.
BorrowBox Popular Titles allow simultaneous access to the same eBook title, so all your book club members can read the same book at the same time.
Also look out for the Overdrive Big Read Campaign which features one book club title, in eBook format, every quarter available with unlimited checkouts. The highlighted book will feature a discussion guide.
