3D Printing at Bayside Libraries

Bring your ideas to life with Bayside Libraries new Bambu Lab 3D printers. Whether you're creating a prototype, a replacement part, a hobby project, a model, or a creative design, our 3D printing service makes it easy to turn digital designs into physical objects.

What is 3D printing?

A 3D printer is a machine that allows you to create physical object from digital renderings. 3D printers print objects in thin layers from the bottom up. These layers create the characteristic ridged surface of a 3D printed object and can be removed by sanding.

The possibilities are endless with 3D printing, print models, toys, art or other objects here at the library. Beaumaris, Brighton and Sandringham libraries have a 3D printer for you to explore.

How to Submit Your Own Print Job

  • Create or download a 3D model in STL or 3MF format.
  • If need be, you can rescale your file in FlashPrint or view its dimensions at www.viewstl.com
  • Submit your file using the online 3D Print Request Form.
  • Library staff will review your file and provide an estimated cost and completion time.
  • Once printed, you will be notified when your item is ready for collection.
