Map of Brighton : surveyed by John Millar

2 B&W photographs of the original map which was put onto a stone block for publication. The map was commissioned by the Brighton Town Council R.K Hammond(Mayor 1862) and councillors Harrison and Blundell. John Millar was the council civil, sanitary and hydraulic engineer and municipal surveyor of Brighton. Of particular interest in this map are the creeks and swamps which are marked.
