Photograph, black & white, 25 x 20cm. This photograph shows a group of conservationists (probably BRASCA) being led by Dr Jim Willis (black suit) through the George Street Reserve (purchased 1924). This is a valuable area of non-coastal heathy shrubland with a high diversity of bird species. Dr Willis is accompanied by the Hon. Robert Lawson (M.L.C. Higinbotham 1979-), The Hon. Vasey Houghton (Minister of Conservation, of Lands and Soldier Settlements 1979-82), Coucillor A. Harwood (Sandringham Council) and the Hon. Max Crellin (M.L.A. Sandringham 1979-82).
