Welcome to the first edition of the 'Bayside City Council Library News'
In this newsletter we will bring you information on events in the Library, new books, book reviews, children's services and other items we feel will be of interest.
We also welcome feedback, so if you have any ideas or would like to make a comment about the Library Service take a look at the 'Mailbag' column.
Bayside City Council Library Service consists of five branch libraries, Hampton, Brighton, Beaumaris, Sandringham and Dendy St.
In March 1997 the Library Service increased its opening hours so that you may access the library any day of the week. Brochures and bookmarks with library opening hours are available at all the branches.
We have also standardised loan periods to three weeks for any item, except videos which are for one week only.
Don't forget there are fines for overdue items - 20c per day, per item. You may renew items twice, either on the phone at any branch or by taking the items to any branch.
