The Syndicate is a brand new five-part drama, which follows five supermarket workers whose lives are turned upside down when they hit the lottery jackpot. After wild celebrations and spending sprees, the winners experience new troubles. Timothy Spall plays supermarket manager Bob, whose newfound wealth cannot mask his persistent health problems. Joanna Page plays single mother Leanne, who although welcomes her financial freedom, is worried about the consequences that the win will bring. A cautionary tale with a stellar cast illustrates the truth behind dreams of instant riches, gently reminding us to be careful what we wish for.
