Economies are increasingly vulnerable to supply shocks and it has become a security concern for countries everywhere. This 3-part documentary series examines the impact of supply insecurity on countries and citizens, and the search for solutions to safeguard access. In Svalbard, Norway, a seed vault stores seeds from almost every country in the world, while agricultural scientists work in their labs to develop more climate resilient crops. In 2017, residents of Cape Town were mobilized to conserve water in a bid to avert a water crisis. Singapore, scientists are studying the feasibility of geothermal energy, and interconnected grids with countries in the region, to accelerate its renewable energy transition.
