This photograph shows the Singapore Teak wing of St Ninians. The wing was a pre-fab building brought out from Singapore via London, maybe late 1850's, and put together on site. It was 90 feet long and 20 feet deep and contained 5 rooms. It was the most famous part of St Ninians and the Duke of Edinburgh's visit in 1867 may have influenced its purchased. The original shingle roof is replaced with corrogated iron in this picture. It was demolised in 1974..
