The initials on this block is "M.N.22.10.94", refering to Martha Needle who poisoned her husband, 3 children and brother-in-law. These blocks were placed in position by Council relief workers in 1930's depression. The blocks are found at the foot of Wellington St. in the sea wall.

The initial on the block is W.R.J. 26.3.00,this block was placed in a sea wall which was built by Council relief workers in the 1930's depression at the foot of Wellington Street, Brighton.

Sandringham was proclaimed a city on March 21, 1923.
