Photograph donated by Mr. L.S. Jackson, 22 Seymour Grove, Brighton in 1970. The photograph is of Brighton Beach station taken in 1912. The building in the right hand corner to the left of the water tower is the old engine shed.

This photograph is of a woodblock etching on the front page of the `Sketcher'. It is a very unusual view of an encampment of aborigines in Brighton in 1885 dressed totally in western clothing.

Photograph shows an early Brighton shop on the corner of Wilson and Carpenter streets, diagonally opposite the police station. The shop was built in 1858 and is now demolised. (Was apparently the first meeting place of Brighton borough council. It was purchased by Bruce Terry of Moule ave in 1981...

Brighton Lodge was the home of the A'Beckett family.
