Coming from blue-collar South Australia, Dave Graney managed to care out a career for himself partly through his life-long commitment to avoiding any work he doesn't want to do. The paradox being that in running from the drudgery, he becomes one of the hardest working musicians, constantly evolving, reinventing, staying one step ahead of himself. And then we looked back, he realised he had nothing else to fall back on.
