Photograph of hitching post which Adam Lindsay Gordon tethered his horse during his residence in Brighton 1869-70. In 1945 the united victuallers (public-house licensee) erected the post on the corner of Park and New Streets with a cage and plaque. It now stands besides the entrance doorway steps of the Marine Hotel, New Street Brighton. Photo possibly taken on the corner of Park and New streets.
